We are the first vending company in the UK to use QR codes on all their vending machines to give free nutritional advice to our customers. Not afraid to lead the way, GEM has been working with Just Peel – here is what they have to say about this exciting project.
How refreshing is it to work with GEM Vending?
“What an interesting first meeting I had with GEM Vending… normally our clients focus in using QR codes is to drive sales and capture data. However from the outset the GEM team had a very different and refreshing approach. They were completely focused on the customer and their aim was to provide “free” educational information to their consumers; in the simplest yet detailed format possible.
Due to the extensive range of products and variables on “speciality” hot drinks, the process was complicated. However never once did the focus move from their customer needs. Their drive to “do the right thing” to help consumers and raise GEM’s local profile as an ethical and caring service partner was clearly apparent from the outset.
It was an absolute pleasure to work with Steven Gallagher and his team to develop a unique and exciting mobile platform. The foresight and ability to embrace mobile technology by GEM has helped create a fantastic consumer journey, whilst also adding a new dimension to our expertise and offerings.
Following the launch in late 2012, the creative ideas have continued and GEM are now looking at the opportunity to create bespoke QR codes with local leisure centres to strengthen the link between health, nutrition and exercise. This shows confirmation once again that the team at GEM just wants to give their customers more added value.
GEM Vending are certainly a caring, consumer focused company, who show a real determination to stand out from the crowd to enhance the consumer experience. My dealings with the whole team continue to be a pleasure. I always walk in with a smile and leave with a much bigger smile. GEM Vending are a fantastic company to be associated with and I look forward to our continued relationship.”
