Olympic gold-medallist swimmer Duncan Goodhew and Councillor Cat Arnold officially launched the re-opening of Victoria Leisure Centre in Nottingham on Friday March 23rd 2012, after its £9m transformation.
The Leisure Centre is located in the heart of Nottingham and has been transformed into a state-of-the-art fitness facility. New facilities include a six-lane, 25m swimming pool, a fully equipped gym and a separate children’s splash area.
Also launched on the day was ‘Game On’ – Nottingham’s programme of FREE and great value events and activities taking place across the city to celebrate the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympic Games.
Gem Vending provide the vending machines for Nottingham City Council, which includes the Nottingham Leisure sites. Account Manager John Toyn, who looks after the Nottingham area, was at the grand opening to provide free drinks from the coffee vending machine throughout the event.
